Overview
The Wild Update introduced the deep dark, the first area designed to be avoided rather than cleared. Everything about it, from the Darkness effect to sculk sensors reading your footsteps, pushes toward stealth, and the warden punishes anyone who ignores that. Ancient cities hold the best loot in the game, including Swift Sneak. On the lighter side, the allay became an instant favourite for item sorting, and mangrove swamps added a genuinely new biome shape.

- The warden, a blind 500-health mob that hunts by vibration and ignores armour
- Sculk blocks: sculk, sculk veins, sculk catalysts, sensors and shriekers
- Mangrove swamps, mangrove trees, propagules and mud blocks
- Frogs, tadpoles and froglights, obtained by feeding magma cubes to frogs
- The allay, which collects matching items and delivers them to note blocks
- Boats with chests, the goat horn, and the recovery compass
- Swift Sneak enchantment and echo shards, exclusive to ancient cities
