Why these numbers are worth calculating
Most of Minecraft is forgiving. A few systems are not, and they are the ones that quietly waste hours: an anvil that says Too Expensive! after you have already spent forty levels feeding it books, a mining trip at the wrong Y level, or a beacon you start building without counting the blocks it needs.
Each tool here models the real Java Edition mechanic rather than approximating it, shows its working, and says plainly where the game itself is ambiguous. Everything is calculated in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere — and every page also spells out the mechanic in words, so you can check the answer rather than trust it.
