About MinecraftUZ

What MinecraftUZ is, who runs it, where its data comes from and how it is kept accurate.

Updated:

MinecraftUZ is an independent reference site for Minecraft: Java Edition. It documents every block, item, mob, biome, enchantment, status effect and crafting recipe in the game, and pairs that reference material with practical guides written for players who want to get something done.

What this site is

MinecraftUZ exists because Minecraft's data is scattered. Stats live in the game files, advice lives in videos, and the two are rarely in the same place. This site puts the numbers and the practical advice side by side, with a picture of every single thing so you can recognise what you are reading about without having to read at all.

Everything here targets Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4. Where Java and Bedrock differ, we say so. We do not silently mix the two, because the numbers genuinely differ and mixing them produces advice that does not work.

Where the data comes from

The structured game data — block hardness, blast resistance, drops, stack sizes, item durability, enchantment levels, biome temperatures and the full crafting recipe set — is extracted from the game's own data files via the open-source `minecraft-data` project, pinned to version 1.21.4. It is not typed in by hand, so it does not drift.

Every image on this site is generated from Mojang's official game textures. Item icons are the game's own sprites. Block icons are rendered in three dimensions from the game's own model geometry, which is why a slab looks like a slab and a torch looks like a torch rather than a generic cube. Mob portraits are cropped from the official entity textures using each mob's real head geometry.

The material the game files do not contain — mob health and behaviour, spawn conditions, structure descriptions, ore Y-level distributions, enchantment explanations and the guides — is written by hand and checked against the game.

How we handle uncertainty

Where a value is genuinely disputed or version-dependent, we say so on the page rather than picking a number and presenting it as settled. A reference site that is confidently wrong is worse than one that admits a gap.

If you find an error, please report it to mezes3758@gmail.com. Corrections are made promptly, and the affected page's update date changes when they are.

Languages

The site is published in English, Uzbek and Russian. English is the primary language and the canonical version of every page. Russian block, item and mob names come from Mojang's own Russian localisation, so the terminology matches what you see in the game. Mojang does not publish an Uzbek localisation, so Uzbek names are produced by us from a purpose-built Minecraft glossary.
