In Minecraft 1.21.4, Pink Banner — wall-mounted is a coloured block. It is available only in Creative mode or through commands. At a hardness of 1 it takes a moment to break but never slows a build down.

Any tool works, and so do bare hands. What you actually collect is Pink Banner. It is transparent, which matters when you are managing light levels.

With a blast resistance of only 1 it will not survive an explosion. Nothing on the crafting grid is made from it.

How long it takes to break

At a hardness of 1, Pink Banner — wall-mounted takes 1.5 seconds to punch out and 0.2 seconds with a netherite-tier tool of the correct class.

An iron tool takes 0.25 seconds and a diamond one 0.2, so the jump that actually matters for this block is the one to iron.

The drop does not depend on the tool — bare hands work as well as anything — so the table below is purely about speed.

Each Efficiency level adds level² + 1 to the tool's speed, so a level V tool clears this about 4 times faster than an unenchanted one.

Properties

Pink Banner — wall-mounted resists blasts at 1, which is not enough to survive anything explosive nearby. Light passes through it, and it emits none of its own. Flammable, at encouragement 60 and burn 20: build with it away from lava, and do not use it as a wall you care about. An axe is the fastest choice here. A tool of the wrong class is no better than your fist — the speed bonus is tied to the block's own tool tag. Broken normally it drops Pink Banner rather than itself; Silk Touch is what returns the block, and Fortune raises the ordinary drop instead.
