In Minecraft 1.21.4, Block of Netherite is a building block. A crafting table turns its ingredients into Block of Netherite. A hardness of 50 makes it slow going without the right tool.
Anything below a diamond pickaxe breaks it without leaving a drop. It drops as the same block you mined. Its blast resistance of 1,200 shrugs off creeper explosions.
Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot. The recipe calls for Netherite Ingot. It is not used in any crafting recipe.

Properties
Block of Netherite has a blast resistance of 1,200, which is high enough to survive a creeper or a TNT charge at point-blank range. It blocks light completely and emits no light of its own. A single slot takes 64, the usual full stack. A pickaxe is fastest here; any other class mines it at bare-hand speed, because the bonus only applies to the class the block is tagged for.
