Overview

Cyan Concrete is one of the 16 variants of White Concrete: same recipe, same hardness, same drops — only the look differs. The full write-up for the set is on the White Concrete page.

Minecraft classifies Cyan Concrete as a coloured block. It is gathered by mining rather than crafted. At a hardness of 1.8 it takes a moment to break but never slows a build down.

It needs at least a wooden pickaxe to drop anything; a weaker tool destroys it for nothing. Mining it returns the block itself, so it is safe to relocate. A blast resistance of 1.8 means a single creeper will clear it away.

It stacks to 64. Nothing on the crafting grid is made from it.

About the cyan set

How long it takes to break

Cyan Concrete has a hardness of 1.8. By hand that is 9 seconds per block; with the correct tool at netherite tier it is 0.3 seconds.

An iron tool takes 0.45 seconds and a diamond one 0.35, so the jump that actually matters for this block is the one to iron.

Below wooden the block breaks and simply vanishes. Bring the right tier or leave it in the ground.

Efficiency contributes its level squared plus one to tool speed, which makes Efficiency V roughly 3 times faster than the plain tool.

Properties

With 1.8 blast resistance Cyan Concrete goes down to any nearby explosion. It is fully opaque and produces no light. Stack size is 64 — the standard full stack. The fastest tool for it is a pickaxe; any other kind of tool mines it no faster than a bare hand does, because the speed bonus only applies to the tool class the block is tagged for.

Frequently asked questions

How do you get Cyan Concrete in Minecraft?

Mine Cyan Concrete with Wooden Pickaxe and it drops itself.

What tool do you need to break Cyan Concrete?

Wooden Pickaxe or better is required; anything weaker destroys the block without dropping it.

Is Cyan Concrete blast resistant?

Cyan Concrete has a blast resistance of 1.8, so an explosion nearby will destroy it.

How many Cyan Concrete fit in one stack?

64 per stack, so a double chest holds 3,456 Cyan Concrete.

How long does Cyan Concrete take to break?

0.3 seconds with a netherite-tier tool of the right class, or 9 seconds bare-handed.
