Overview
Green Concrete is one of the 16 variants of White Concrete: same recipe, same hardness, same drops — only the look differs. The full write-up for the set is on the White Concrete page.
Green Concrete is a coloured block in Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4. There is no way to craft it; you have to find it and mine it. Its hardness of 1.8 makes it a normal, unhurried block to mine.
Anything below a wooden pickaxe breaks it without leaving a drop. It drops as the same block you mined. With a blast resistance of only 1.8 it will not survive an explosion.
Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot. No recipe takes it as an ingredient.
About the green set
How long it takes to break
At a hardness of 1.8, Green Concrete takes 9 seconds to punch out and 0.3 seconds with a netherite-tier tool of the correct class.
Iron takes 0.45 seconds against diamond's 0.35, so the upgrade worth making for this block is the one to iron.
It will break below wooden, and you will get nothing for it. That combination of time spent and drop lost is the classic mining mistake.
Each Efficiency level adds level² + 1 to the tool's speed, so a level V tool clears this about 3 times faster than an unenchanted one.
| Tool | No enchantment | Efficiency III | Efficiency V |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hand * | 9 s | 9 s | 9 s |
| Wooden | 1.4 s | 0.25 s | 0.1 s |
| Stone | 0.7 s | 0.2 s | 0.1 s |
| Iron | 0.45 s | 0.2 s | 0.1 s |
| Diamond | 0.35 s | 0.15 s | 0.1 s |
| Netherite | 0.3 s | 0.15 s | 0.1 s |
| Golden | 0.25 s | 0.15 s | 0.1 s |
Properties
Green Concrete has a blast resistance of 1.8, so any explosion nearby destroys it. It blocks light completely and emits no light of its own. Stack size is 64 — the standard full stack. The block is tagged for pickaxes, and only that class gets the speed bonus; everything else mines at bare-hand rate.
