Overview

Yellow Concrete counts as a coloured block in Minecraft 1.21.4. There is no way to craft it; you have to find it and mine it. Its hardness of 1.8 makes it a normal, unhurried block to mine.
Anything below a wooden pickaxe breaks it without leaving a drop. It drops as the same block you mined. With a blast resistance of only 1.8 it will not survive an explosion.
Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot. No recipe takes it as an ingredient.

Iron takes 0.45 seconds against diamond's 0.35, so the upgrade worth making for this block is the one to iron.
A weaker tool still breaks it, but anything under wooden returns nothing — you spend the time and lose the drop, which is how most veins get wasted.
Efficiency adds its level squared plus one to the tool speed, so Efficiency V is about 3 times faster than the same tool unenchanted.
