In Minecraft 1.21.4, Black Bed is a functional block. A crafting table turns its ingredients into Black Bed. It breaks almost instantly, with a hardness of just 0.2.
You can break it by hand without losing the drop. It is transparent, which matters when you are managing light levels. With a blast resistance of only 0.2 it will not survive an explosion.
It is unstackable. The recipe calls for Black Wool and Oak Planks. It is not used in any crafting recipe.

Fire spreads to it readily (encouragement 60, burn 20), so keep it away from lava and away from anything you would rather not lose.
