Overview
Red Bed is one of the 16 variants of White Bed: same recipe, same hardness, same drops — only the look differs. The full write-up for the set is on the White Bed page.
Minecraft classifies Red Bed as a functional block. Red Bed has a crafting recipe, so it is renewable as long as you can source its ingredients. With a hardness of 0.2 it gives way immediately under almost any tool.
Any tool works, and so do bare hands. Because it is transparent it does not block light. A blast resistance of 0.2 means a single creeper will clear it away.
It does not stack — each one takes its own slot. You make it with Red Wool and Oak Planks. No recipe takes it as an ingredient.
About the red set
Properties
Red Bed resists blasts at 0.2, which is not enough to survive anything explosive nearby. Light passes through it, and it emits none of its own. A single slot takes 1 — no stacking at all, one slot each. It catches easily (encouragement 60, burn 20), so keep lava and open flame well away from it and from anything next to it.
