Overview
This release introduced the trading economy that villagers still run on, alongside the first two loot temples. Ender chests gave players a shared inventory across any distance, which changed how bases and mining outposts were organised. Technically it merged singleplayer and multiplayer onto the same code path, an internal change that made open-to-LAN possible and shaped everything that followed.
