Overview
A blaze hovers, glows, and fires volleys of three fireballs with a short wind-up you can hear before you see it. It is on fire permanently, so it ignores lava and sets you alight on contact, and it takes damage from water, snowballs and rain. Blaze rods are the only source of blaze powder, making fortresses a mandatory stop before the End. Fight them from a corner with a shield up.
In Minecraft, Blaze is classified as a hostile mob. It has 20 health points, or 10 hearts. On Normal difficulty each hit costs you 6 damage.
It is worth 10 XP.
