Overview
Orange Carpet is one of the 16 variants of White Carpet: same recipe, same hardness, same drops — only the look differs. The full write-up for the set is on the White Carpet page.
Orange Carpet counts as a coloured block in Minecraft 1.21.4. A crafting table turns its ingredients into Orange Carpet. It breaks almost instantly, with a hardness of just 0.1.
You can break it by hand without losing the drop. It drops as the same block you mined. With a blast resistance of only 0.1 it will not survive an explosion.
Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot. The recipe calls for Orange Wool. It is not used in any crafting recipe.
About the orange set
Properties

Stack size is 64 — the standard full stack. Flammable, at encouragement 60 and burn 20: build with it away from lava, and do not use it as a wall you care about. As furnace fuel it burns for 3.4 seconds — 0.3 smelting operations.
