Overview
Camels are tall enough that most hostile mobs cannot reach a rider, and wide enough to seat two players at once, which makes them the best mount for travelling with a friend. They dash forward on demand with a long cooldown, clearing gaps a horse cannot, and they sit down to rest at random until a player approaches. Riders are immune to nothing, but the height alone stops zombies and skeletons landing hits.
