Overview
Bats flap in erratic circles around caves, roost upside-down on ceilings, and squeak at random intervals. They cannot be bred, tamed, leashed or led, drop nothing, and give no experience, so their only real function is as an audible hint that unlit cave space exists nearby. They despawn quickly and take fall damage like any other mob.
