Overview
A Tipped Arrow carries a potion effect and delivers it at range, which changes what a bow is for. An arrow of Harming ignores armour points in a way ordinary damage does not; an arrow of Slowness stops a charging ravager; an arrow of Poison softens a group before they close; and Weakness arrows are how players convert zombie villagers at a distance instead of throwing a splash potion at their own feet. The effect applied lasts one eighth of the lingering potion's duration, which is short — a lingering potion of Slowness that would run for 3 minutes gives roughly 22 seconds on the arrow — so tipped arrows are burst tools rather than long applications. Crafting is done by surrounding a lingering potion with 8 arrows for 8 tipped arrows, so the true cost is dragon's breath, and that means an End trip before you can make any at all. Master-level fletcher villagers also sell them, which is the practical route for most players. They cannot be duplicated by Infinity, so every shot is spent. Buy them from a fletcher until the End trip is done.

How to get it
Craft 8 from 8 Arrows and 1 Lingering Potion. Master fletchers sell 5 tipped arrows for around 2 to 3 emeralds and an arrow, which avoids the dragon's breath requirement entirely.
Tips
- The effect lasts one eighth of the lingering potion's duration, so brew for duration if you want usable arrows.
- Arrows of Harming hit hard on undead-free targets, while arrows of Healing damage undead — pick by what you are fighting.
- Infinity never duplicates tipped arrows, so a Power V bow with Mending is the better pairing for them.
