Overview
A Resin Brick is the processed form of the resin that 1.21.4's pale garden produces, and it opens a warm orange building set that contrasts sharply with everything else in that biome. The chain starts with a creaking heart — the block that animates the creaking, the pale garden's silent stalker. Damage the creaking and its heart bleeds resin clumps into the surrounding trees; harvest those clumps, smelt them, and each gives one resin brick. Four bricks make a Resin Brick block, which then cuts into stairs, slabs, walls and a chiseled variant on a stonecutter, so a single pale garden trip supplies a full architectural set. The colour is the point: resin is amber-orange, and the pale garden around it is grey and white, which makes resin trim on pale oak one of the most striking palettes added in years. Resin clumps can also be placed as a decorative block directly, without smelting, for a raw dripping-sap look on trunks and walls. It is the newest building material in the game and the one most worth a trip for.
Building with 1.21.4's amber resin set — bricks, stairs, slabs, walls and chiseled blocks — which is the visual reward for surviving a pale garden.
Resin Brick is a crafting material item in Minecraft 1.21.4. It stacks to 64. A furnace turns Resin Clump into it.
The one thing it makes is Resin Bricks.
How to get it
Smelt 1 resin clump in a furnace for 1 brick. Clumps appear on blocks around a creaking heart when the creaking it animates is damaged, so a pale garden trip is the only source.
Tips
- Damage the creaking rather than trying to kill it outright; the resin comes from its heart reacting to the hits.
- The creaking cannot be killed while its heart stands, so find and break the heart to end the fight.
- Resin clumps can be placed raw as decoration, which looks like sap running down a trunk.
- Read the pale garden and the creaking before going in after dark.
Version notes
Resin clumps, resin bricks and the whole resin block family arrived in 1.21.4 alongside the pale garden biome, the pale oak wood set and the creaking.
