Overview
Twisting Vines Plant counts as a building block in Minecraft 1.21.4. It is available only in Creative mode or through commands. With a hardness of 0 it gives way immediately under almost any tool.
Any tool works, and so do bare hands. Because it is transparent it does not block light. A blast resistance of 0 means a single creeper will clear it away.
It is not used in any crafting recipe.
How long it takes to break
Twisting Vines Plant sits at hardness 0: 0 seconds per block with your fists, 0 with the correct netherite tool.
No particular tool tier is required: any tool, or none at all, still yields the drop, so the table below is about speed rather than about whether you get anything.
Efficiency contributes its level squared plus one to tool speed, and on something this soft that reaches instant mining almost at once.
| Tool | No enchantment | Efficiency III | Efficiency V |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hand | instant | instant | instant |
| Wooden | instant | instant | instant |
| Stone | instant | instant | instant |
| Iron | instant | instant | instant |
| Diamond | instant | instant | instant |
| Netherite | instant | instant | instant |
| Golden | instant | instant | instant |
Properties
Blast resistance on Twisting Vines Plant is 0, so any explosion nearby takes it out. It lets light pass and gives off no light. The fastest tool for it is an axe; any other kind of tool mines it no faster than a bare hand does, because the speed bonus only applies to the tool class the block is tagged for.
