Overview
A villager takes a profession from whichever job site block it claims, and its trades reroll until you trade with it once, after which they lock in. Trading raises its level and unlocks better offers, and cheap trades are the standard route to bookshelves, enchanted books, mending, and infinite emeralds. Villagers panic and run indoors at night or during a raid, breed when they have surplus food and spare beds, and cure to permanent discounts if you zombify and heal one.
