Overview
Jungle Door is one of the 14 variants of this shape in the game. What changes between them is the material, and with it the hardness, the drops, the durability and the recipe — so every figure on this page is this variant's own. Oak Door is the same shape in a different material.
Jungle Door is a functional block in Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4. Jungle Door is made at a crafting table. Hardness 3 puts it in the middle of the pack for mining speed.
It drops as the same block you mined. Light passes through it, so it will not darken the space behind it. Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot.
The recipe calls for Jungle Planks. It is not used in any crafting recipe.
About the jungle set
How long it takes to break
Jungle Door sits at hardness 3: 4.5 seconds per block with your fists, 0.5 with the correct netherite tool.
You are looking at 0.75 seconds on iron and 0.6 on diamond — the iron step is where the time actually falls.
No particular tool tier is required: any tool, or none at all, still yields the drop, so the table below is about speed rather than about whether you get anything.
Each Efficiency level adds level² + 1 to the tool's speed, so a level V tool clears this about 3.3 times faster than an unenchanted one.
| Tool | No enchantment | Efficiency III | Efficiency V |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hand | 4.5 s | 4.5 s | 4.5 s |
| Wooden | 2.3 s | 0.4 s | 0.2 s |
| Stone | 1.2 s | 0.35 s | 0.15 s |
| Iron | 0.75 s | 0.3 s | 0.15 s |
| Diamond | 0.6 s | 0.25 s | 0.15 s |
| Netherite | 0.5 s | 0.25 s | 0.15 s |
| Golden | 0.4 s | 0.25 s | 0.15 s |
Properties
Jungle Door has a blast resistance of 3, so a nearby explosion will usually destroy it. It lets light through and emits no light of its own. Stack size is 64 — the standard full stack. The block is tagged for axes, and only that class gets the speed bonus; everything else mines at bare-hand rate. As furnace fuel it burns for 15 seconds — one and a half smelting operations.
