Overview
Fire counts as a building block in Minecraft 1.21.4. It cannot be obtained in Survival — it exists for Creative mode and commands. A hardness of 0 means it is one of the quicker blocks to clear.
No specific tool is required to collect it. It emits light level 15 — bright enough on its own to stop hostile mobs spawning nearby. Because it is transparent it does not block light.
A blast resistance of 0 means a single creeper will clear it away. It is not used in any crafting recipe.
Properties
Fire resists blasts at 0, which is not enough to survive anything explosive nearby. Light passes through it, and it emits at level 15.
