Chiseled Resin Bricks — Minecraft block

Overview

Chiseled Resin Bricks counts as a building block in Minecraft 1.21.4. Chiseled Resin Bricks is made at a crafting table. Hardness 1.5 puts it in the middle of the pack for mining speed.

Mine it with a wooden pickaxe or better, or you get no drop at all. Broken correctly, it drops itself. Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot.

The recipe calls for Resin Brick Slab. A stonecutter can cut it straight from Resin Bricks, with nothing wasted. Nothing on the crafting grid is made from it.

How long it takes to break

Hardness 1.5 puts Chiseled Resin Bricks at 7.5 seconds a block bare-handed, or 0.25 seconds with the right tool at netherite tier.

Iron manages 0.4 seconds and diamond 0.3, which makes diamond the tier that changes how this block feels.

A weaker tool still breaks it, but anything under wooden returns nothing — you spend the time and lose the drop, which is how most veins get wasted.

Efficiency adds its level squared plus one to the tool speed, so Efficiency V is about 2.5 times faster than the same tool unenchanted.

* breaks the block but yields no drop
Tool	No enchantment	Efficiency III	Efficiency V
Hand *	7.5 s	7.5 s	7.5 s
Wooden	1.2 s	0.2 s	0.1 s
Stone	0.6 s	0.2 s	0.1 s
Iron	0.4 s	0.15 s	0.1 s
Diamond	0.3 s	0.15 s	0.1 s
Netherite	0.25 s	0.15 s	0.1 s
Golden	0.2 s	0.15 s	0.1 s

Properties

Chiseled Resin Bricks resists blasts at 6, which usually is not enough when something explodes nearby. Light does not pass through it, and it emits none of its own. Stack size is 64 — the standard full stack. A pickaxe is fastest here; any other class mines it at bare-hand speed, because the bonus only applies to the class the block is tagged for.
