White Terracotta counts as a coloured block in Minecraft 1.21.4. A crafting table turns its ingredients into White Terracotta. Its hardness of 1.25 makes it a normal, unhurried block to mine.
Anything below a wooden pickaxe breaks it without leaving a drop. It drops as the same block you mined. It stacks to 64.
You make it with Terracotta and White Dye. The one thing it makes is White Glazed Terracotta.

The block still breaks with a weaker tool, but below wooden it yields nothing at all — the time is spent and the drop is lost, which is the single most common way players waste a vein.

Properties
White Terracotta resists blasts at 4.2, which usually is not enough when something explodes nearby. Light does not pass through it, and it emits none of its own. A single slot takes 64, the usual full stack. The fastest tool for it is a pickaxe; any other kind of tool mines it no faster than a bare hand does, because the speed bonus only applies to the tool class the block is tagged for.
