Vines is a plant block in Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4. With a hardness of 0.2 it gives way immediately under almost any tool. Any tool works, and so do bare hands.
Because it is transparent it does not block light. A blast resistance of 0.2 means a single creeper will clear it away. It stacks to 64.
You will need it for Bordure Indented Banner Pattern, Mossy Cobblestone, and Mossy Stone Bricks.
How long it takes to break
Hardness 0.2 puts Vines at 0.3 seconds a block bare-handed, or 0.05 seconds with the right tool at netherite tier.
Nothing here needs a minimum tier: whatever you swing, the block still drops, and the only difference is how long it takes.
The Efficiency formula is level² + 1 added to tool speed, which on a block this soft tips over into instant mining very early.

Vines has a blast resistance of 0.2, so any explosion nearby destroys it. It lets light through and emits no light of its own. Stack size is 64 — the standard full stack. It renews, so a single world will never run out. Flammable, at encouragement 15 and burn 100: build with it away from lava, and do not use it as a wall you care about. The fastest tool for it is an axe; any other kind of tool mines it no faster than a bare hand does, because the speed bonus only applies to the tool class the block is tagged for.
