Overview
Cake with Purple Candle is one of the 17 variants of Cake with Candle: same recipe, same hardness, same drops — only the look differs. The full write-up for the set is on the Cake with Candle page.
Cake with Purple Candle is a building block in Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4. It is available only in Creative mode or through commands. With a hardness of 0.5 it gives way immediately under almost any tool.
Any tool works, and so do bare hands. What you actually collect is Purple Candle. A blast resistance of 0.5 means a single creeper will clear it away.
It is not used in any crafting recipe.
About the purple set
Properties
Cake with Purple Candle resists blasts at 0.5, which is not enough to survive anything explosive nearby. Light does not pass through it, and it emits none of its own. Broken normally it drops Purple Candle rather than itself; Silk Touch is what returns the block, and Fortune raises the ordinary drop instead.
