Polished Blackstone — Minecraft block

Overview

In Minecraft 1.21.4, Polished Blackstone is a Nether block. Polished Blackstone is made at a crafting table. Hardness 2 puts it in the middle of the pack for mining speed.

Mine it with a wooden pickaxe or better, or you get no drop at all. Broken correctly, it drops itself. Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot.

The recipe calls for Blackstone. A stonecutter can cut it straight from Blackstone, with nothing wasted. Its main value is as a crafting ingredient: 10 recipes need it, Polished Blackstone Bricks, Polished Blackstone Button, Polished Blackstone Pressure Plate and 7 more among them.

Iron takes 0.5 seconds against diamond's 0.4, so the upgrade worth making for this block is the one to iron.

Below wooden the block breaks and simply vanishes. Bring the right tier or leave it in the ground.
