Minecraft classifies Lily Pad as a plant block. It is gathered by mining rather than crafted. With a hardness of 0 it gives way immediately under almost any tool.

Any tool works, and so do bare hands. Mining it returns the block itself, so it is safe to relocate. It is transparent, which matters when you are managing light levels.

With a blast resistance of only 0 it will not survive an explosion. Sixty-four fit in one inventory slot. No recipe takes it as an ingredient.

Properties

Blast resistance on Lily Pad is 0, so any explosion nearby takes it out. It lets light pass and gives off no light. One inventory slot holds 64, the normal full stack.
