Overview
A Bundle fixes the specific misery of a mining trip: a hotbar clogged with four flint, three gravel, two lapis and one bone. It holds 64 items' worth of capacity spread across as many different item types as fit, so a bundle can carry eleven one-off pickups in the space of one inventory slot. Items that stack to 16 take four capacity each, and unstackable items take the whole 64, which means one bundle can hold exactly one bucket and nothing else. Adding is done by picking the bundle up and clicking items with it, or clicking the bundle onto a stack; removing pulls items out one type at a time from the top, so a bundle is a stack, not a chest. Since 1.21.2 they are properly part of survival: the recipe is one leather and one string, they generate in loot chests, and there are 16 dyed variants so you can colour-code the tools bundle differently from the ore bundle. A bundle dropped on death spills nothing — the contents travel with it as one item — which makes it a surprisingly good way to keep a small emergency kit together.
Carrying odds and ends on a mining or exploration trip without spending a slot on each, and keeping a themed kit — food, torches, a bucket — grouped in one place.
Bundle is a miscellaneous item in Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.4. It is unstackable. The recipe calls for String and Leather.
It is an ingredient in 16 recipes, among them Black Bundle, Blue Bundle, Brown Bundle and 13 more.
How to get it
Craft 1 from 1 Leather and 1 String. Dye any bundle with 1 dye to get one of the 16 coloured variants; undyed bundles also appear in some loot chests.
Tips
- Check the bundle's fill bar before a trip: 64 capacity disappears fast when a single unstackable item eats all of it.
- Use a dyed bundle per purpose — building blocks in one colour, loot in another — because you cannot label them.
- Items come out in reverse order of going in, so put the thing you will need first into the bundle last.
- A bundle inside a shulker box works fine, which is how large builders keep dozens of one-off decorative blocks organised.
Version notes
Bundles left the experimental toggle and became craftable in 1.21.2, which also added the 16 dyed variants. Before that they were only available through commands or creative mode.

Frequently asked questions
How do you make Bundle in Minecraft?
Bundle is crafted from String and Leather.
What is the stack size of Bundle?
Bundle does not stack at all. Every one you carry takes an inventory slot of its own, which is the practical limit on how many you take on a trip.
The rest of the set
Bundle is one of 17. Every other member behaves the same way:
